Hurdles

You wouldn’t believe what Walter Butler did. In Naperville, Illinois Walter Butler ran the 100meter hurdles in 13.57. That was a record in 7/5/91.

Allen Johnson was the fastest person to run the 100meter hurdles. He ran it in 12.99 seconds. He did it on 6/24 in Carson.

Equipment for a hurdler is very simple. Good heel support. With a good shoe will help you land easily on the ground. Shirt should be a tang top, mesh shirt. So it’s easy to move without interference. Shorts should be short and easy to move.

Shoes should be very light. Also, having an elevated heel. Nylon upper firm heel cup the lateral support. And some form of waffle or ripple sole.

Here are some tips to jump higher. If the right leg goes up then the left arm touches the right foot. There are 2 things a hurdler needs to do. 1) Run with a sprinters speed. 2) Control their bodies while dashing between and over the hurdles.  They also have to control their strides.

Injuries are the worst things for a runner. 1-3 of all runners will suffer from injuries that will keep them from running for a long time. For example; running on the wrong surfaces, some don’t get enough rest, and runners still don’t warm up. Don’t run through pain. Stop or slow down if you feel pain of any kind.
