Robert Plant

Robert Anthony Plant was born on August 20, 1948, in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England. He was the youngest member of Zeppelin.
He earned the nickname Percy after a man on a gardening show, Percy Thrower. Before Led Zeppelin, he was in the Band of Joy with John Bonham. He was performing in another band, Hobbstweedle, when Jimmy Page went to his show. Jimmy was shocked that Robert hadn't been a huge hit before, and immediately asked Robert to be in his "super group."
Robert was the symbol of the 70's. He once called himself a "Golden God", which fit him perfectly. With a long blond mane, ultra-tight pants, an open shirt, and a huge ego, Robert Plant was a Golden God. He was an icon to people everywhere. Although he suffered the terrible loss of his son Karac in 1977, he didn't quit the band.
Robert Plant probably had the most successful solo career after Zeppelin. His first album was called Pictures At Eleven and was a big hit. He still has a great solo career today.
Robert made a huge impact on music and people. With his lovesick wail, he would make you want to cry or dance. Led Zeppelin would not have been the same without Robert Plant, and the 70's wouldn't have been the same either.
