Bonzo was the most intense drummer in 70's rock. Just listen to "Moby Dick", and his sweet drum solo will amaze you. During his Zeppelin years, he was known as "The Beast". |
| Bonzo was also a hardcore partier. It was all about the excess for him. Whether it be alcohol, fights, girls, or trashing hotel rooms, he was up for it. John Bonham loved to throw TV's out of hotel room windows. | ![]() |

John's life ended in 1980, but his legacy did not. Many drummers have tried to imitate his awesome techniques and sounds. His son, also a drummer, has played in benefit concerts. He was even in Jimmy Page's post-Zep band The Firm. |
