Throughout the year Syracuse have always been top competitors. Syracuse is in the Big East Conference. This year Syracuse ended with a 27-7 season and made it to the Big East Championship game.
lThis year Syracuse had an up and down season. Sometimes they could be un-stoppable and other times they could lose to the worst team in the league. In the 2005 March Madness Tournament Syracuse lost 1st round to the #13 seed Vermont.                  
                      Syracuse had many outstanding players who came up with big plays the whole year.
        Syracuse Starting Line up:
Point Guard: Gerry McNamara
Shooting Guard: Billy Edelin
Small Forward: Josh Pace
Power Forward: Hakim Warrick
Center: Craig Forth

 Syracuse most outstanding player is Hakim Warrick (right). Hakim Warrick averaged 21.4 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game. Warrick is a Power Forward who is known for his outstanding block shot ability and his remarkable dunks.

 

                 
                          Another one of Syracuse outstanding players is Gerry McNamara. When Syracuse needed a big start McNamara came through. Gerry McNamara was one of the top 3 point shooters in the country. McNamara averaged 15.8 points per game.
Syracuse will be losing four seniors in their starting line up. Coach Jim Boehim suggest that the 2006-2007 season will be a rebuilding year for the Syracuse OrangeMen
