This 2005 North Carolina Tar Heel team was among the top greatest teams in North Carolina history. They had size, speed, and power. This year they won a National Championship and ended with a great record.
	Throughout the year North Carolina played tough basketball. They were coached by one of the greatest coaches Roy Williams. With only a few loses NC played strong throughout the NCAA tournament. In the NCAA championship NC was the favorite winning 75-70.

	One of NC's top players is Rashad McCants. McCants is known for his spectacular dunks and his astonishing 3 point shot. Throughout the whole year McCants continued to make big plays on defense and offense.
		Another top player for NC is Sean May. He was the teams leading rebounder, scorer, and the teams leader in blocked shots. Sean May, a 6'11, junior who played tough, great basketball every game. If NC needed a close or 2 point basketball Sean May was the go to guy.
	Although NC did not go unbeaten they are still considerably one of the best NC teams of the past decade. After NC won the National Championship they had 3 juniors declare for the NBA draft.
		Raymond Felton, another one of NC's top players who declared for the NBA draft, was considerably one of the best point guards in the nation. Whether it was his incredible ball handling skills or his beautiful 3 point shot he played a big part in this teams success.
