The 2005 Fighting Illini were one game short of a perfect season. they lost in their last game of the regular season to Ohio State in overtime.
	Illinois made it to the National Championship game but unfortunately lost to North Carolina. The final score of that game was 75-70 with NC winning. At one point in this game Illinois trailed by 16 points with 12 minutes to go. In the 2nd half they kept fighting back but their 3 point shooting was off which hurt them (12-40).
		The 2005 Illinois starting line up was amazing throughout the year. PG: Dee Brown      PF: Roger Powell SG: Luthern Head  C: James Augustine SF: Derron Williams
	One of Illinois top players is Dee Brown. When Brown was hot from 3 point range he couldnt miss. Allthough then he was off he couldnt make a shot. 2 other of Illinois top 3 point shooters were Luthern Head and Derron Williams.
		Luthern Head came through for Illinois all year. He was the 2nd leader in 3 point shooting on Illinois.
