John Smith, pictured here on the left, was a very good wrestler who attended Okalahoma. He was born August 9, 1965 and is a two time Olympic champ, two time NCAA champ, and a four time NCAA all American. He is also a five time world champ. Smith is inducted in the Oklahoma Hall Of Fame. | |

Bobby Douglas brought hope to all the African American wrestlers. He wrestled in the 1964 Olympics and secured 4th. He was a five time national champ, AAU champ, and coached the 1967 Olympic team and had there wrestlers take the gold medal. Today douglas coaches Iowa state and has a record of 359-132. | |

Many people say Cael Sanderson is the best wrestrler who ever lived . He attended Iowa State University where he broke many rcords. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and wrestled for most of his life. He is a 3XNCAA Champ at 184 pounds 3 X OW, 2 time hodge award winner, 2 X Academic All American. He went through college with a 154-0 record. He is also an olympic champ in 2004. | |

This beloved hero had a hard time growing up especially in his high school years. His dad died during his sophomore. His dad died while working construction. His dad fell off a crane and smashed his head. This athlete has a football frame standing at 6'2'' 260 pounds. He started turning heads at Clarion University. In 1991 Kurt injured his knee one month before the NCAA tournament. Despite this injury he wrestled his way to the finals. He ended up loosing in the finals but this didn't discourage him. He came back the following year (1992) and had a undefeated season at 26-0. After his historical regular season, Kurt went into the NCAA's holding his head high. He made it to the finals for the second year in a row. This time he would not go home with silver; but this did not come easy. He wrestled top ranked wrestler Sylvester Terkay who had 75 pounds on Angle. Angle ended up beating him and took the gold for his dad. In all, Kurt had a very impressive college record at 116-10-2. After his college years Kurt found himself wrestling for the 96' Olympic team. He took first and clamed the title as worlds greatest. | |
