The veterans of the NBA know the game best. They know the game best because they've been around it the longest and are the most familiar with it. Some people today feel that there should be an age limit today as to who can play in the National Basketball league or not. I fully disagree with this because if you’re a 35-year-old guy out there hustling your butt of, more power to you. The veterans are usually the large supply of throw-down dunks, great passes, power blocks, three-pointers, and many other attractions. Andrei Kirilenko, Gilbert Arenas, Kobe Bryant, Shawn Marion, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Ray Allen, Shaquille O'Neal, and Amaré Stoudamire are just a few of the great veterans who are going big today. The veterans are the players that play as a team and lead their team to victory. They protect the team’s reputation and also do their duties as mentors for rookie players who struggle in there beginning years. One other duty of a veteran is to show the rookies around. This is important because from recent studies the more comfortable a player is with the ball club the better he will succeed. My favorite veteran of the NBA is Amaré Stoudamire. He is my favorite player for several reasons. All of which come down to one, thing, he can jump. Jumping takes the most talent, therefore Amaré is the most talented because nobody is within competition of his 45 inch vertical leap. Stoudemire leaves all of his opponents stifled and gives his heart in every game he plays. The game just wouldn't have any talent if it weren't for these great players.
