Cameron Michelle Diaz was born on August 30,1972 in San,Diego California. Her father Emilio Diaz was the foreman of an oil company. Her mother Billie was an import/export broker. Cameron had an older sister Chimene. The Diaz family moved up the coast of California when Cameron was young. Cameron was always tall and skinny. She wanted to  be a zoologist. Growing up she had snakes ,mice ,cats, and dogs. Diaz went to Long Beach Polytechnic High School. Diaz was independent and liked to hang out with the older kids. In high school Diaz was a half time dancer at the football games.

Diaz was discovered by a photographer at  a Hollywood party. He helped her, and within a week he landed her a contract with Elite Modeling Agencies. At the age of 16 her parents allowed her to spend five years traveling the world. Her modeling began in Japan. She returned to California at the age of 21. She was working as  model when she auditioned for a  big part in the movies "The Mask"(1996). To her amazement despite having no previous acting experience she got the part. Over the next three years she did low budget films like "The Last Super"(1995), Feeling Minnesota(1996), and "Head Above Water"(1996). In 1997 she returned to main stream films in "My Best Friends Wedding". Her co-star was actress Julia Roberts. Her next movies was a box office smash. The movies was called " There's Something About Mary" in 1998.Some of Diaz's other movies were "Any Given Sunday"(1999), Charlie's Angles(2000), Shrek(2001),Vanilla Sky(2001) and Shrek 2(2004).

Cameron Diaz had many accomplishments. In 1998 she was chosen by People Magazine as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world. She was also one the the 50 most beautiful people in 2002.She was nominated for the AFI featured actor of the year, Outstanding Supporting Actress in Vanilla Sky, and BSFC award for best supporting actress in Vanilla Sky. She also won best dance sequence in "Charles Angles" in 2001. Diaz become only the second actress to join the $20 million club (after Julia Roberts) when she signed for the amount in Charlie's Angles: Full Throttle.
	Diaz has an interesting personal life. Diaz's nickname is Cami (short for Cameron). Her father is Cuban and her mother is Native American, Italian, and German. Diaz will only wash her face with Evian Spring Water. Diaz loves surfing and being outdoors. Diaz has a reputation for being late and she is very superstitious. She has a bubbling and energetic personality.
Diaz got engaged to actor Jared Leto in 2000 but she broke it off. Diaz is recently dating Justin Timberlake. They enjoy vacationing together and going to sporting events. They both recently attended the 2005 Kids Choice Awards. Diaz's latest job is starring in her own show "Trippin' " on MTV.
