Beyonce Knowles

Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born on September 4, 1984, in Houston, Texas. She has a younger sister named Solange Knowles. Her mother is Tina Knowles which is currently designing all of Beyonce and Destiny Child's wardrobe. Her father, Matthew Knowles, manages Destiny's Child. When she was eight years old, Beyonce auditioned for a kids' singing group in Houston, Texas, where she grew up. While she was there she met LaTravia Roberts, who later became a member of Destiny's Child. In 1983, Beyonce appeared on Star Search. She had attended Welch Middle School and for high school she attended The High School For The Performing and Visual Arts.
	Beyonce, :LaTravia, and Beyonce's cousin, Kelly Rowland creating a singing trio called Destiny's Child. Destiny's Child was signed to Columbia Records in 1997. They landed a song on The Men in Black soundtrack called Killing Time. Destiny's Child's self titled debut was a huge success. Destiny's next album was This Is The Remix which came out in 2002. Beyonce's solo debut Dangerously In Love hit stores in June 2003. In 2002, Beyonce snagged a role in Austin Powers: Goldmember as Foxy Cleopatra.
Destiny's Child and Beyonce herself were discovered by Whitney Houston. Destiny's Child is one of the best selling girl groups in the world. Beyonce wrote every song on Destiny's Child "Survivor" cd. Destiny's Child toured with Christina Auguilera in 2000 and TLC in 1999.
	In 2001 Beyonce became the first African-American women ever to win the ASCAP Pop Songwriter of the Year award. Her biggest hit to date is "Independent Women". She has won 5 Grammys. In 2004she was on of Peoples Most Beautiful People. She sung three of the five songs at the 2005 Academy Awards, including one in French. In 2003 she performed at the Radio Music Awards, MTV Europe VMA's and the Billboard awards.
Beyonce is known for the big heavy earrings. Her nicknames are JuJu, Mothe, and Bee. Her sister released just released her debut album. She is allergic to perfume and has a cat named Master P.
	Beyonce is a fan of Middle Eastern music and dance. She is currently dating rapper Jay-Z. They are both buying houses in Miami, Florida and a house in England. She is the sister-in-law to football player, Daniel Smith. Beyonce has accomplished a lot and plans to accomplish even more.
