Boxers are also a great pet to have. They make friends very easily. They are nice dogs and get along with adults and children alike. They get along with everyone. Boxers have a great personality and if you get one you sure won't regret it!
Boxers need to be groomed regularly, especially in the shedding season. Also, boxers require a bath about every 4 months or so.  But knowing a boxers spunky personality, it will end up being more baths than that! Boxers like to get into everything including mud and dirt.
An interesting fact about the boxer is that they like to keep everybody and everything away from fire.  If there is a fire, a natural instinct of this dog is to get the children away. They will also move burnable objects a safe distance from the fire. In fact, if they see stubbing out cigarette butts on the ground, they will paw at it until it burns out.
The boxer is a pretty silent dog. The only time they will bark is at night if they hear any strange, unusual noises. If they do start a racket, you can be sure its for a reason, a good reason. The boxer will also get used to daily noises such as the mailman and will learn not to bark at these daily occurrences.
When choosing your puppy be sure to take a couple of things to mind. Always pick a fun, outgoing puppy. If you pick the smallest of the litter you will more than likely get a timid and shy puppy. Also, remember that if you decide to get a puppy, for the first couple of weeks, it will want to do nothing but eat and sleep. Those are a few key points for buying a boxer.
