The more casual teenager or ‘prep’ wore extremely tight high rise jeans and a big shirts or off the shoulder shirts. Cut off sweatshirts, pumps, mini skirts, crimped and teased hair were also very popular styles. The style for both groups then was definitely form fitting. Converses and keds were popular shoes. |
| The nineties were a grunge decade. High rise big shirts, plaid mini skirts, dolly shoes, jelly sandals, dark lips, tight pants..the list goes on and on. The eighties were some what carried on but in a more subtle way. Worn and bleached jeans were a big demand for teenagers. Chokers and studded earrings became popular. Coming into the 21st century the world is at high fashion. Expensive designers were becoming more and more popular among the opulent and middle class people like: Gucci, Versacci, Louis Vuitton, Guess, Armani, Dior, Chanel, etc. To have a designer purse, or shirt or something made the appearance of wealth and taste. The big fashions are natural looking makeup, and more body complimenting clothing. Big sunglasses, ripped jeans, polos, little sweaters, cute shoes, tight shirts, and more popular among teenagers. |
