Then, styled hats and wild patterns were introduced, and most of the rich people had an assortment of fur pleats. During the 1940’s due to war, fashion still was not a huge deal. War and sports clothing were obviously very popular. The infamous year of CoCo Chanel’s “disappearance” when her secret romance with a high Nazi official surfaced…*gasp*…Army hats were very popular. For young girls, everyone had to have bobby socks, plaid skirts, and linen jackets with wide shoulders. Dior entered the fashion realm with controversial high heels and corsettes. Parts and separates became popular along with the army braid hair style. |
