Emmitt Smith was a huge impact on the NFL, he was one of the best pro running backs throughout his time. Emmit Smith was born May 15 , 1969 in Pencacdo Florida. While growning up he  was a poor kid. he used to play a pick up game in the nearest open lot in his neighborhood. He would pick the less unfortunate kids to play on his team. So he would have a challenge playing football.

High school and college was Emmitt Smith prime. He did soo good that they honored him with an awars at his high school. The previous season at Escambia  High before Emmitt Smith arrived the team was 1-9. As a five-foot eight inch, 175 pound freshman, Emmitt gave hints for things to come. In his first game, he rushed for 115 yard and scored two touchdowns against Pensacola Catholic High. Escambia finished 7-3 record. It was an improvement of six games over the previous year.

Emmitts sophmore year the school made the state playoffs after compiling a 12-2 record. Escambia defeated Bartow High to become the class 3-A champions of the state of Florida. By Emmitts Junior he was the most feared running back around. He rushed for 200 or more yards seven times that season and lead his team to a 13-1. His senior year, the team went 9-1 and wasnt good enough to win his team a spot in the playoffs. His efforts got him the high school player of the year. In 4 years in high school he rushed for 8,804 yards.

Emmitt Smith was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1990. He was a huge part of the 3 strait championships in 92,93,95. On January 31, 1990, Smith had a press conference. He announced that he was heading in the 1990 NFL draft. The National Football League drast was held in April. Smith was taking 21 pick over all to the Dallas Cowboys, He signed a contract with paid him 3 million dollars over three years. He was a big inspiration on Dallas Cowboys and contributed alot to the fans.
