The first time Ringo ever played with the band was on October 15, 1960. He did not officially get added to the band though until almost a year later. He replaced Peter Best. The fans went crazy when they heard that Best was gone and started petitions and had rallies against the band. The only reason Ringo joined the band was because he was getting paid more than what he did in his other band. |
| Ringo enjoyed being a celebrity much more than any other member of the band. In the studio, Ringo did not have any say on what they did with certain songs. All Ringo did was sit there until they need him to play. The only song he ever sang in was the Yellow Submarine. | ![]() |

After the Beatles ended, Ringo started on his solo career. He had many albums and singles like album “Ringo” which made it to number two on the charts. Then in the seventies, his albums became not as exciting and interesting so they didn’t sell as well. Also, he was in many movies or he worked on them like “Candy”, “The Magic Christian” and “200 Motels”, plus many more. Also he became very interested in photography. He bought a camera and became very skilled. Ringo is still very active in music and other things and hopefully it will be that way for a long time. |
