In 1958, Paul and John asked George to join the Quarrymen. Then the band moved to Hamburg and they really started playing well. Then later he was deported from Hamburg for being under-age worker at a nightclub after midnight. |

He married Patricia Boyd on January 21, 1966. Around that time he was also writing his own songs. His first solo album, was a three piece record set called "All things must pass". The solo album made it to number one on the charts. |

In 1971, George got Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Lean Russell and some other famous artists to raise money for the people of Bangladesh. Also in 1971, George got sued for using music from George got sued for using music from another song in his song "My Sweet Lord." |
| George also had a solo tour that sold out all over the country. The problem was that people wanted him to play Beatles songs but he refused. He was not caught up in the fame of being a Beatle as the other members were. | ![]() |

Sadly, George died on November 29, 2001. He was struggling with cancer and went through many experimental radio surgery and other surgeries but still passed away on account of a brain tumor. |
