Michael Phelps won six gold medals and two bronze medals at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games. He was the first swimmer to win eight medals in one Olympic game since 1980. He is a thirteen time World Record holder, three time Olympic Record holder, eighteen time American Record holder, five time World Champion, and he owns twenty National titles. He swims the 200 yard freestyle, 400 yard IM, 200 yard butterfly, and he is on relay teams.

Amanda Beard is the second youngest gold medallist in US swimming history. She was 14 years and 268 days old when she won her first gold medal in the 400 yard medley relay. Beard is now a seven time Olympic medallist. She holds the World Record for the 200 meter breaststroke. Amanda Beard also swims an awesome 100 breaststroke, and helps the US team in the 400 meter medley relay.

Jenny Thompson has twelve Olympic medals. Ten of those metals are from relays and eight of them are gold. She has a silver metal from the 100 meter freestyle and a bronze metal. She swims a great race in relays, 100 meter freestyle, and 100 meter butterfly.

Natalie Coughlin is a five time Olympic Gold medallist. She owns two gold medals. They are in the 100 meter backstroke and the 800 meter freestyle relay. Coughlin won silver in the 400 meter freestyle relay and the 400 meter medley relay. Finally, she won the bronze in the 100 meter freestyle. She holds the Olympic record in the 100 meter backstroke, and Natalie and the US 400 meter freestyle relay team hold the American Record.

Ian Crocker is the World Record holder in the 100 meter butterfly. He is also a gold medallist in the 400 meter medley relay. Crocker is the American record holder in the 50, 100, and 100 meter butterfly.
