From 1735 to 1840, the English bull dog was imported
from Britain, and originated to the United States in the 1880's. These
dogs would also bull bait, which means they would be timed by their owners
and compete with other bulldogs to see how long they could hold onto the
bulls nose ring, this how the bulldog had gotten their name. This is how they had gotten their name.
