Jazz is a North American tradition
that developed from a mixture of European, and American dance.
Today it is mostly used in musicals. Jazz is lively, fun, and full of rhythm, and color. Most dance schools teach jazz classes. |

For class you usually wear a leotard and either black, or regular tights. You may also wear junk clothes during the whole class. |

Jazz classes are more free, and not as strict as ballet classes are. The jazz instructor would not mind junk clothes. |
