Resorts

 

Virginia Beach has many wonderful places to stay.  The following resorts are all ocean front condominiums which you rent out for one week during your vacation stay.  Dolphin Run, the first resort, has a beautiful outdoor pool, a rooftop sundeck, a game room, exercise room, and a sauna.  The The next resort to choose from, Ocean Sands, has a spa and a health club.  Like the Dolphin Run, it has an outdoor pool, but it also has an indoor pool and indoor jacuzzi.  Turtle Cay is the last resort, this one by far has more amenities than the first two.  You can enjoy to hot tubs, two pools, waterfalls, gazebos, and a private courtyard. 

 

Board Walk

 

This boardwalk was recently named one of the top seven American board walks by the travel channel .  While taking a stroll on the boardwalk you can have a fun, thrilling time at Ocean Breeze amusement park.  Or if you would like to take a more educational route you can visit the Virginia Marine Science Museum.  The original board walk has been recently reconstructed, it is now concrete instead of the original wood.  It was originally built in 1888.

 

Shopping

 

Just 10 minutes away from Ocean Front Virginia Beach lies one of the largest malls on the east coast, Lynnhaven Mall.  Lynnhaven has four major department stores and over 175 specialty stores.  You will also find the new AMC Lynnhaven eighteen movie theaters.  The Lynnhaven also has a food court with over a dozen places to eat. 

 

Restaurants

 

"Your homa away from Roma."  That is the popular slogan for Giovanni's Pizza and Pasta.  Since 1966 Giovanni's has always been a family oriented restaurant.  They feature Italian foods such as homemade pizza doughs, calzones, lasagna, and various types of pasta.  The Waterman's Beachwood Grill has a beautiful view of the ocean from every table.  They feature in streaks and sea foods.  Late on if you want to go upstairs they have the only oceanfront nightclub at Virginia Beach.  The attic is an awesome place to go if you want to dance all night to the music of a live D.J.

 

Amusement Parks

 

Just one hour away from Virginia Beach lies Busch Gardens, Williamsburg.  Not just offering dozens of thrilling rides Busch Gardens also has ten main stage shows, and a magical childrens' area.  This park is based on cultures from around the world.  If you don't have the time to drive an hour away go visit Virginia Beach Amusement Park at an ocean front location.  Virginia Beach Amusement Park has rides and games for all ages, with the family in mind.  

Ride the skyscraper, which reaches speeds of over 65 miles per hour and has a 165 foot drop.  Or take your younger children to the kiddie rides.  If you want to cool off you might want to check out the Ocean Breeze Waterpark.  This is Virginia Beach's only oceanfront waterpark.  Ocean Breeze has 16 waterslides, a runaway bay wavepool,  and a Buccaneer Bay children's waterpark.

 

Distance

 

Just incase you are wondering how long you will have to be sitting in your car on the way to Virginia, here is your answer.  It will take about thirteen and one half hours to drive from Bethel Park to Virginia Beach.  Which is also about 447 miles.  So make sure you have plenty games or activities to do in your car with you.  Even though that it may seem like a long time, just remember the arrival is worth it.  And remember this is vacation, the loose and have fun!
