Walter Johnson Walter Johnson was a great baseball player in the early 1900's. In 1939 he was one of the original 17 players to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. This 6'1'', 200 pound beast was known as "The Big Train" Born on November 6th, 1887, he died on December 10th, 1946 at the age of 59. |

Nap Lajoie Larry Napoleon Lajoie was one of the first players to reach the feat of getting 3,000 hits. In his 21-year career with the Cleveland Spiders, Lajoie never even came close to winning a pennant. In the 1904 season Lajoie was spiked by Ty Cobb and almost died from blood poisoning. He returned the next season and had one of his best seasons ever.. |
