Jerome Bettis has moved among the NFL’s best running backs becoming only the 10th runner to compile more than 12,000 rushing yards in a regular season. Then he moved into the sixth place on the NFL all time rushing list in the 2003. Jerome also has 12,353 career rushing yard.
Jerome Bettis led the team in rushing with 811 yards and seven touch downs on 246 carries, just this year. Bettis also is ranked second on the Steelers' all time rushing yard list in eight seasons with 9,262.  Bettis reports to training camp in the best shape in every year. Jerome Bettis was selected for the second time in 2000 as the recipient of "The Chief Award".
Jerome Adam Bettis was introduced to sports by his parents to keep him off the streets and away from danger. In High School he played as a linebacker and a running back for McKenzie High. He was the Gatorade Circle of Champions Michigan Player of the Year when he was a senior.
In his college years Jerome Bettis attended college at Notre Dame. He started his college years with 337 carries for 1,912 yards and 27 touch downs. He closed his college career with 75 yards on 20 carries and 2 touch downs.
