With a fusion of jazz, blues, soul, funk, and hard rock, his music is easliy like by all auduences. All of these styles contributed to a new age 60's psycedelia which trademarked the era. His first album, Are you experienced, was made in 1967. Its quickly became popular with the help from singles, ''Hey Joe'' and ''Are You Experienced?'' world wide and today is still one of the greated debut albums of rock and roll. This album paved their way to perform on top of pops. | |
| Their second album, Axis: Bold as love (1967) was another great seller. It sold 3 million copys world wide the first few weeks. People were starting to be convinced that this band was the real deal. With the sucess of their first two albums, the band went on a large world tour and sold out almost every show. By now Hendrix was known and loved world wide. | ![]() |

The band's third album and my favorite,
Electric Lady Land was realesed in 1968. The single "All Along the
Watchtower" could quite possibly be the bands most famous song and
this song alone boosted record sales, although it was written by Bob
Dylan. With every ohter song on the album being good, this was a true
classic. He said,"Music is my religion."
By far, his most momorable performance was in Woodstock 1969 in New York, when he played star spangled banner on his guitar as a song of protest of the Vietnam war. The crowed loved it.
