There are very many characters in the Zelda series, but there are a few that are extremely important to the series  This page will cover these characters and the key roles they play in the series and in the individual games themselves.

Link

Link plays an extremely important role in all of the Zelda games.  Without him, the series would barely exist.  He's had to save Zelda, Hyrule, and various other lands and people.  Without him, Ganon would rule Hyrule and make it dark.

Zelda

Zelda is the princess of Hyrule.  She's one of the most important characters in the series, if not the most important.  The whole series revolves around her.  She's been in almost all of the Zelda games, and even had to save Link in Zelda's Adventure.

Ganon

Ganon is the main villain in the Zelda series.  Aldo known as the King of Evil, Ganon has tried to take over Hyrule and claim the Triforce many times.  Luckily for Hyrule, though, Link has always managed to defeat him.

Agahnim

Agahnim is the alter ego of Ganon.  In A Link to the Past, he was helping Ganon take over Hyrule.  He was also the chief advisor of the King of Hyrule, but Zelda suspected his evilness.  It actually turned out that she was right.

Impa

Impa is Zelda's nursemaid.  She watches over and protects Zelda.  She is also the keeper of the actual Legend of Zelda.  For a long time, she has been with the Royal Family.

Skull Kid

Skull Kid is the main villain in Majora's Mask.  He stole Majora's Mask itself and caused Link to travel through time to get it back.  But in reality, Skull Kid was not as he seemed to be....

Tetra

Tetra is a pirate in The Wind Waker. She actually helps Link in the beginning and throughout the game.  But, like Skull Kid, she is also not what she appears to be....
