Basic Facts
Zimbabwe originally came from the ruins of the Great Zimbabwe.
The main language is the Shona Language and English. The area is 150,820 square miles (392,132 square kilometers) The population is 11,300,000. The population density is 75 people per square mile (29 per square kilometer) the life expectancy for me and women is both 42 years. Zimbabwe's capitol is Harare

                            Economy
Currency is the Zimbabwe dollar and it is equal to about the U.S. $0.09.The average household income is $9,164. A little less than Half the land is made of only  species forests!
                       Wildlife
There are many animals in Zimbabwe. Large numbers of elephants, lions, leopards,  rhinos, hippos, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and antelope are still all over Zimbabwe. Other animals that are there are hyenas, cheetahs, and numerous varieties of deer. They have very many birds and many different mammals.  In all there are 168 species of mammals found  in the country.
                      History

Ever wonder the history of this fascinating country? Well here's your chance to find out the history at your very own home! 1100 to 1700 the city state, Great Zimbabwe, is built and ruled by successive Bantu empires.
1891: Britain declares Rhodesia a British protectorate.
1923: Great Britain annexes Southern Rhodesia as a colony.
1966: the civil work begins with Zanu's first  major raid on the white population.
1985: The five-year plan is put into effect to boost the economy and convert to a socialist state of emergency.
1996: An estimated one-tenth of population have HIV.

             The People
The people of Zimbabwe know how to have fun from crafts to dancing. Some crafts are carved wood head rests, instruments, and pots.  The kids even make their own toys! 
Music is always in Zimbabwe. Many of the lyrics simply express everyday things. Drums are the most important instrument for backgrounds to dance to. As you can see  the people have many interesting ways to occupy them.
