Basic Facts
The population is 25.2 million people and only 1 percent of those people aren't African American. The official language in Kenya is  Kiswahili and English.  The republic of Kenya became Africa's thirty-fourth independent nation on December 12, 1963
                                           Land   
Mount Kenya is an extinct volcano in central Kenya it's the second mountain in Africa. Most of the land is desert like. Only two-fifths have a large population. That's towards the south of Kenya. It has mild climate and receives plenty of rainfall. Two of Africa's Great lakes are Victoria and Turkana
    The people
Kenya has more then 30 ethnic groups. They all have many different languages. Before the women are even born most of them have had there father negotiate there husband. 
Like us they can pick there own religion. Protestants are 38 percent, roman Catholics are 28 percent, Muslims are 6 percent, and traditional beliefs are 26 percent.
The health has been improved by a high priority project. Government agencies are trying to get rid of the conditions that cause malaria and sleeping sickness. the life expectancy in Kenya is 63 years. They are also trying to teach everyone about the sicknesses and diseases going around.
                 Transportation
Kenya has one of the best transportation systems in Africa. They use cars, boats, and trains. They have about 1,300 miles of train tracks! They also have about 600 miles of road. people mostly travel by automobile, trucks, and matatu (a bus). Kenya has also made their own airline. 
 
The Economy
 If you ever want to travel to Kenya its a great place to go. you can go on safaris, or trips through the wilderness. They are very popular still. Kenya is one of the most industrially developed countries in East Africa. The industry accounts for 12 percent of the gross domestic product and it employs at least 14 percent of the work force.
