Golf is a very popular game because it requires little skill and strength

The Inventors Of Golf Golf was invented around 1100AD. It was created by Roman shepherds who hit rocks around all day with sticks and other things they might find on the ground. They also hit leather balls that were filled with feathers. This game was called “Paganica.” When this game reached Scotland, it was altered into what we know today as modern golf, except for one thing, there was no hole! The game was given a hole soon after it was made however. Modern golf had been born!

How the PGA got Started At
the turn of the 20th century many Scottish and British golfers
were coming to the United States to play golf and to build golf courses.
In
1919 they had a luncheon and formed a national club to promote the
game of golf.
This has evolved into what we know as the PGA or professional
golfers association.

Tournaments There
are now many professional golfers in America. They compete for cash prizes at various events.
They can win a lot of money and get sponsored by different golfing
companies. One of the most
famous events is the U.S. open.
