There are many different qualities and prices to hockey skates.  For example, the skate on the left is a very high quality skate; therefore it is more money than an average quality skate.  When choosing skates, you should look at the size (which should be two sizes smaller than your shoe) and what skate feels the most comfortable.  Most of the high quality skates have a molding feature, which allows you to bake your skates in a special oven and then put them on really tight, and it will mold the jell insoles to the shape of your foot.  This particular skate when it is not on sale is around $350.00-$400.00 depending on where you get the skate.

When you are choosing skates you should choose a skate that feels comfortable on your foot and that is the right price for you.  Also you should choose a skate size that is about two sizes smaller than your shoe size.  The skates have laces.  There are a few different laces that you can choose between.  There are nylon laces, cotton laces, and there are waxed cotton laces.  These laces are not expensive and are usually under five dollars.
