The game that we know as football, was invented in 1880 by a man named Walter Canton. It has developed from just an activity, to a person’s life. Now, it is probably the most popular sport in the United States today. The first professional football game was held in 1895 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Football built into the league that we have today and is known as the NFL. The National Football League gave way in the year or1922. At the star, it was considered a low-paying, part time job that not many people played. Today, you would be considered very lucky to have the talent to be able to play in this great league. A normal season in the NFL begins in the end of the summer, and finishes toward the end of January, where the championship game is played. The final game is played between the team with the best record from each of the two conferences. This is called the Super bowl. After the Super bowl is played, the season is over until the next year, when the winning team of the Super bowl can try to defend its reputation.
