If you are a defensive player, the objective is to stop the offense from getting into end zone and getting a touchdown, You are able to complete this by tackling the offensive player with the ball, or intercepting the pass that was thrown by the quarterback.This is very hard to do because the wide receiver is trying to catch the ball too. Just as the offense, the defense is only permitted to have eleven players on the field at once. Since eleven players are only allowed on , you are able to substitute any player at any time as long as the game is not in play.
