Ben Roethlisberger

         Ben Roethlisberger  is the starting quarterback for the Steelers in the 2004-2005 season. He is 6 ft and 5 inches tall and weighs 241 pounds. He went to college at Miami (Ohio). In 2003, he was the All-American first team selection by the NFL Draft Report. He was taken 9th overall 1st round in the 2004 NFL Draft. He makes a great contribution to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

 

                                                                                                                                   

Duce Staley

Staley is the starting running back for thse Pittsburgh Steelers. He is 5ft 11 inches and weighs 242 pounds. He went to college at South Carolina University. He finished his 2 year career at SC ranked 13th on South Carolina’s all-time rushing list with 1852 yards and 17 TDs on 345 carries.  Then he went and played for the Eagles for 6 years.      Hines Ward

          Ward is one of the starting wide receivers this year. He is 6ft and weighs 215 pounds. He went to college at Georgia Tech. The Steelers had picked him up as a 3rd round pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. He has now been playing for 7 years. He went to 3 straight Pro Bowls. Ward is only the 5th Steeler to reach 5,000 receiving yards in team history. He broke 1,000 receiving yards for 3 straight seasons, which made him the only Steeler receiver to achieve that.

 

                                                                                                                                   

           

Plaxico Burress

                                             Burress is another wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is 6ft 5inches tall and weighs 226 pounds. He went to college at Michigan State where he was drafted during the 1st round of the NFL Draft in 2000. In 2001, Burress had a good year. He topped the 1,000 receiving yard mark for the first time in his career. He finished the 2003 season second on the team with 60 receptions for 860 yards and 4 touchdowns.

 

                                                                                                                           

Antwann Randel El

Randel El is a starting wide receiver, kick returner, and punt returner for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is 5ft 10 inches and 192 pounds. This year will be his 3rd year playing in the NFL. Randel El went to college at Indiana University. There, he was the 2001 All-American and All- Big Ten Conference first team selection. There he played quarterback, receiver, and punt returner. Ken Whisenhunt

          This is Kens 1st year as offensive coordinator for the Steelers. He began at Vanderbilt University in 1995 and 1996.Whisenhunt’s first year of coaching in the NFL was in 1997 with the Baltimore Ravens. Ken not only coached, he played with the Falcons (1985-1988), Redskins (1989-1990), and the Jets (1991-1993). In 1999,he coached the Browns as a Special Teams Coach. He spent the last 3 seasons on the Steelers as a tight end coach.
