Joe Green

Joe Green was 6ft 4 inches and weighed 275 pounds. He was Pittsburgh’s number 1 pick in the 1969 National Football League Draft. Green was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1972 and 1974. He got 10 Pro Bowl visits, played in 4 Super Bowls, and 6 AFC title games. Green had speed, quickness, strength, and determination. He played a major role in his team.        Terry Bradshaw

Bradshaw was the quarterback for the Steelers from 1970-1983. He was 6ft 3 inches and weighed 215 pounds. He came out of Louisiana Tech to play for them. Bradshaw was the 1st player to be drafted in the NFL in 1970. His excellent throwing arm led his team to 8 AFC Central Championships and 4 Super Bowl Titles. He got the MVP in Super Bowls XIII and XIV. He was selected to 3 Pro Bowl games. He got inducted on August 5, 1989.

 

                                                                                                                                   

   Jack Ham

Ham was a linebacker for the Steelers form 1971-1982. He was the number 2 draft pick in 1971. In 1973, Ham was named to the All-AFC Team. He was the Defensive Player of the Year in 1975. He went to 8 straight Pro Bowls, too. Ham had speed, intelligence, and ability to diagnose plays. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame on July 30, 1988.

 

                                                                                                                           

Lynn Swan

Swann was a fantastic wide receiver for the Steelers back then. He was 5ft 11 inches and 180 pounds. He went to college at Southern California. He was the Steelers first round draft pick in 1974. Swann was named All- Pro in 1975, 1977 and 1978. He played in 3 Pro Bowls. He was named to the NFL’s All- Decade Team in the 1970’s and to the Super Bowl Anniversary Team. His overall record was 336 receptions, 5462 yards, and 51 touchdowns. He had tremendous leaping ability to snag catches and he was a complete player with phenomenal natural abilities. John Stallworth

                    Stallworth was a fantastic wide receiver for the Steelers back then. He was 6ft 5 inches and 191 pounds. He went to college at Alabama A & M. He was the Steelers 4th round draft pick in 1974. He played in 6 AFC championship games, and 4 Super Bowls. In that Super Bowl, (XIV), he scored the winning touchdown on a 73 yard reception. He was named All- Pro in 1979 and All- AFC in 1979 and 1984. Stallworth also played in 4 Pro Bowl games. He was a Two- Time Steeler MVP. He was inducted on August 3, 2002.

 

                                                                                                                               

Franco Harris

 Harris was a fantastic running back for the Steelers back then. He was 6ft 2 inches and weighed 230 pounds. He went to Penn State for college. He was the number 1 draft pick in 1972. He provided big back power to the Steelers offense. He was All- Pro in 1977 and All- AFC 3 times. He played in 5 AFC Championships and 4 Super Bowls. Harris was inducted on August 4, 1990.

 

                                                                                                                           

Jack Lambert

 Lambert was a strong linebacker for the Steelers back then from 1974- 1984. He was 6ft 4 inches and weighed 280 pounds. He attended Kent State University for college. Lambert was the 2nd round draft pick in 1974. He was a Two Time NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He was also named All- Pro 8 times. He was in 9 straight Pro Bowls from 1976- 1984. Lambert was in 6 AFC Title games and 4 Super Bowls. He was noted for vicious tackling great range, and superior pass defense.
