| Description The
next dog I will talk about is the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. They are in the
herding group. They have short, powerful legs. They also have a long
powerful body. They come in all sorts of colors; red, sable, fawn, tan,
black, and white. The females weigh about 25-30 pounds and get to
about10-12 in. tall. The males weigh 25-30 pounds and get to 10-12
inches tall.

Temperament They
have a great temperament. They adore children. They can nip when there
puppies, but it’s natural. They are wary of strangers. So they make
good watch dogs. If you train them right they can be a great companion.

| Grooming The
grooming isn’t very hard. They have very soft fur. It’s medium-
length. It’s a water resistant coat. You should brush the coat once a
week. You should use a firm brush. Bathe when necessary. They shed quit
a lot.

Exercise
and Feeding They
are very athletic dogs you can do a lot with them. They can be involved
in fly ball, tracking, therapy, and herding, etcetera. Since they are
short they can’t eat a lot. If you over feed them they will end up
with health problems.

| Health Some
of the health problems are chronic hip dysphasia. Which is the most
common. The thigh bone pops out of the socket. Another is the Von
Willenbrand’s disease. This is a bleeding disorder. Remember these are
only some of the problems.

Facts These
dogs ate very affectionate they are loyal to their owners. They are very
independent can be hard to train. Remember these things they need
regular brushing, gentle walking, and they make great pets.
