TROPICAL STORMS

 

 A tropical storm has winds 39-73 mph. A tropical depression is an organized area of thunder storms and clouds that have wind less than 39 mph. A tropical wave is a thunder storm that has no circulation. Tropical   storms that have gained high sustained winds may easily turn into a hurricane

 

 

 

HURRICANES

 

 are one of natures most powerful storms. They are categorized by the speed of the Hurricane. There are five levels of hurricanes. Level one winds are 74-95 mph. Level two are winds 96-110 mph. Level three has winds between 111-130mph and Level four is 131-155 mph. The most powerful hurricane is a level five . A Level five winds exceed 155 mph. Level one is the weakest hurricane and a level five is very deadly. Key West is hit pretty hard by many hurricanes during the season and causes many damage in many places.  

 

RAIN

    Because of high humidity in the tropics the keys have rain almost daily. The daily rain down in the keys only last about 5-15minutes usually. When storms hit the rain on the islands are heavy and last for a while Even when it rain s temperatures still remain warmer. 

 

SNOW

   Down in Florida there isn't any snow throughout the year. Because how close it is to the equator and the moderate to high temperatures, it doesn't get cold enough to snow. 

SUNNY

    the sunny weather in the Keys provide for many of  its variety of plant life. There are many plants like oranges and palm trees that need a tropical environment to grow. In the Keys tourism is also the number one business. Many tourist come to visit the nice sunny weather.
 

HUMIDITY

In the Keys, humidity is high almost everyday because of the high temperatures. The air becomes very hot and humid.
