There are many varieties of coral throughout Caribbean in the Keys. You
can find beautiful, exotic, and colorful coral. It is a unique experience
to be able to see the coral at an underwater view. |

FISH |
|
|
In the Keys you can find 500 of the most exotic tropical fish. You can
come up close to many fish throughout various reefs. Whenever you go to a
reef one of the main things you will notice are the exotic fish. |

NATURAL REEFS |

In the keys you visit many natural reefs by scuba diving, snorkeling,
or by boat. A natural reefs is a reefs that is formed over a period of
time to provide a barrier between beaches and deep sea. There are many
beautiful things living and growing throughout the reefs. |

ARTIFICIAL REEFS |

There are a few artificial reefs in the keys. artificial reefs have ships
that were purposely sunk so a reefs will form around it and it will
attract divers and tourist. even though they aren't real they are just as
beautiful. |

PREDATORS |
 |
Throughout the 100's of reefs in the Keys there are always predators
looking for food. sharks are looking for minoes and people are also
looking for many types of fish to eat. People are always eating and
fishing for many different species of fish. So natural predators help to
maintain natural balance of the reefs. |

ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS |
| There are people
who destroy the reefs everyday. For every square inch of the reefs that is
destroyed a fine of 1,000 will be imposed. Destruction of the coral reefs
could cause more danger to our ecosystem. With the absent of coral there
may be a decrease in the fish population. All the waste and fertilizer
dumped in the ocean over populates the algae which chokes the coral.
So there are many concerns everyday with the reefs. |
