For Kids
CCFA holds all kinds of camps for kids all across America where they can go and do everything kids do any other camps. Only with out all the embarrassment of taking meds and having gas or other things in front of others who don't have the same problem. Instead they can find understanding and good friends with similar problems. |

| Living
with IBD
No doubt, it is hard. You have to take medication, for most people, they have to take some kind of medication for their whole lives. You have to watch what you eat. For example, some people can't have dairy products. You have to be careful not to get too stressed or overwork yourself, which can happen easily. For a lot of people, they have to run to the bathroom a lot. Of course there are those tests, IV's, enemas, and blood tests all the time too. You have to live with everyday pains too. Plus, if there is a cold going around, most patients will catch it and it will be twice as bad and they will have it for twice as long. this disease may not be the most serious disease in the world, but it effects hundreds of thousands of people everyday. So next time you think you have it bad, remember, it could be a lot worse.
