Most lizards have a pretty simple body. They have a head, a tail, feet, an abdomen, and legs. Their body is very unique though. It can adapt their body to their living conditions. They can also adapt to get them out of danger. 
One adaptation is a disposable tail. Another is venom to kill prey. also some lizards are adapted to fly. They are real cool.
Types
There are many different kinds of lizards. some are heavy. Some are very long. Some can do mind altering things. That is very cool.
The basilisk lizard can walk on water. Some lizards can fly and glide 1000feet. Other lizards blend in with  their surroundings. They are un detectable. All lizards are different and important.
What they eat
most lizards eat small insects and fruit. Others eat leaves and vegetables. While some others eat small animals. These usually consist of rats and rodents.
Chameleons use a long, sticky, wet tongue to grab flies and pull them into their mouth. while other lizards just chase and catch their food. Some lizards even scavenge for food. lizards eat a lot of different things.  
Disposable tail
Most lizards have a tail. Usually their tail can be disposed of. This confuses their predator. Then the lizard can escape. 
This defense mechanism is very useful. IT helps the lizard get out of danger's way. Even though their tail is so important they still loose it. The tail will take a couple of months to fully grow back.
Venomous lizards
some lizards use a venomous bite to kill their prey. The komodo dragon sue this killing method. IT has venom in its saliva.
Another venomous lizard is the Gila monster . This killing method is very useful. They should be respected.
Camouflage 
some lizards use camouflage. They use it is as a defense strategy.
This stratagem is very useful. IT is also very cool.
