Training

If you want a beagle as a house pet you should train them. First, you should start with a manner training. To know your done with manner training your dog should come immediately when you call. They should know "sit." or to walk quietly when you say "Heel", must be polite to other strangers, and they should be mannerly when they see other dogs, or children. After your dog knows all of those you should move onto professional training. This procedure is simple and only takes 30-60 days. Your dog should be a good dog, and you will learn how your dog works and what to except of him.

Tricks

Your beagle will enjoy it if you play with him. They like whenever you teach them tricks. Well mostly because you give them treats. You can teach them rollover, sit up, catch, and give me your paw. They will do tricks for you if you hold a treat in your hand and tell him what to do. All your friends and family will be amazed.

Friend

A beagle will almost go anywhere with you, protect you, and be your friend. They love to be around people and do mostly anything with you. Your beagle will also lay with you. As a pet for children is unsurpassed, their patience, almost endless, and his kind of nature ever apparent. 

Lovable

The beagle, is a very lovable dog. They love people and will always be around you. They will sleep with you and lay by you all the time if your just relaxing. As you can see, beagles are very lovable and will fallow you almost anywhere.

Guard Dogs

The beagle is alert, efficient, and a forbidding dog. Beagles don't need to be trained to be a watch dog. Even amateur beagles can be watch dogs. They will warn you about intruders around your house in their deep throaty hound voice.

Helpful

Any dog is helpful. If someone is in danger a beagle will start barking, growling, and then finally attack. He will especially protect his family because he doesn't want them to get hurt, he will start barking like crazy because that is the only thing he can do to help.
