Roberto Clemente was one of the leagues greatest players of all time.  In fact, he was the national league batting champion 4 times and mvp once in 1966. But there was so much more to Roberto, not only was he a great player but he was a great family member and just an all around great guy. He made many stops around the world to donate his time, effort, and also his money.  There had been a horrible earthquake in Nicaragua and there was our own hometown hero going to rebuild and give donations but Roberto didn't quite make it there. There was horrible weather conditions they were going through and the play suddenly crashed down.  That was the end of our hometown hero.
The team that Roberto started out with originally was the Montreal Expos.  Roberto was originally from Puerto Rico. He was born in San Antwon Puerto Rico on August 18, 1984. He was a son of Luisa walker and Melchor Clemente. Roberto was the youngest of 5 children.  His sister died at age five, from her dress catching on fire, so you can see Roberto had to go through struggles at a very young age.

The reason Roberto was such a great man is probably because his parents were great role model.  Roberto wasn't only a great person though, he was just as great on the baseball field.  Roberto had made many accomplishments.  He was a tremendous leader on the Pittsburgh Pirates.  Roberto was a great guy.  The people of Pittsburgh loved him and were very saddened when he died.
