The pirates brought a great deal to this town.  For a while the pirates were everything to Pittsburgh.  It was now 1960 and the bucs were on a roll, they continued on that streak and went on to win the world series, they also won the series in 1971 and 1979. The pirates were everyone's favorites during the 70's.
	Bill Mazeroski was on the bucks team all three years when they won the world series.  Things were going great for the pirates.  Bill like Clemente was also an outstanding leader for the pirates.  It was a magical day when the Maz showed his leadership again.  Nobody out bottom of the 9th score tied 9-9 a 1-0 count on the Maz.  They were playing the Yankees who were playing awesome that year, These two teams had been duking it out the hole game until ..... there's a drive way back way back gone its out a here!  The Pirates had just won the world series!  The Maz had done it again he cranked a homer in the bottom of the 9th.  It was all over the bucs had done it again.

		The Bucs had done it they had beaten the great Yanks.  Bill Mazeroski was a great guy that had a ton of class.  Every game he left it all out there on the field.  Now it was 1978 and the bucs hadn't won a world series for 8 years but once again the Maz carried them to victory.  The pirates were great.
