The "old man" is actually older than he looks. Though he looks like he is in his thirties, he's actually nearing one hundred. Of course, this is to be expected from a cyborg. They can't age (Unless rusting counts as aging), and they're updated regularly. The funny thing is, he actually wants to become a machine. You can understand why once you know what happened to him years before.

Not much is known about Ziggy at the moment, besides his real fake name (Name given to him as a cyborg), Ziggurat 8. Plus, he was an organ donor to Ziggurat Industries, and when he died, they brought him back to life. He can't really kill himself again, as they'd just bring him back. Though cyborgs are outlawed due to the life recycling act (More on that later), he still exists. He committed suicide when he was a bit younger because his family was killed. He was a soldier, one who would fight terrorist activity. This ended in pain because due to his job, his family was murdered by a terrorist and when he killed himself so he could join them, they brought him back.

Sadly, we still don't know much about Ziggy besides the fact that he committed suicide, was brought back, is now a cyborg, and he was hired to rescue MOMO from Pleroma, a place she was being held hostage at (So that the U-Tic organization who were currently there could extract the Y Data from MOMO).

As I've said before, we don't know much about him. There is a game for the Mobile Cell Phones called Xenosaga: Pied Piper though, which is supposed to deal with his past. Still, though, it's sad that we have no other info. He has such potential and most of it is washed down the drain. Heck, the newest thing we learned about him (Besides being crazy strong) would be that he apparently has a grudge against a specific Testament, known as Voyager (Most likely the one who murdered Ziggy's family).
