Origin

Though KOS-MOS may look like she's kite old, in more literal terms, she's at least a year old (Or 2, or 3 if you count her archetype). This is, of course, without the added on years of creating her programming and such. KOS-MOS is an android, a weapon equipped with a device which creates Hilbert Waves, inverted wavelengths that draw gnosis into solidity from their gaseous state. Of course, no android is complete without a complete arsenal of weapons at their disposure, correct?

KOS-MOS has many different weapons that would really hurt if one were to get hit by it. She has handguns at her side, her stiletto shoes are good at stabbing, she can morph her arm into a cannon, drill, sword, etc., and she even has a couple machine guns, a scythe, and a rail gun of sorts for her to use.

KOS-MOS has only a few missions: Protect Vector employees and destroy gnosis. Of course, she has a few of her own missions too, such as getting to the planet of Second Miltia. She was programmed with several of these "black boxes" by Kevin, the lead of the original KOS-MOS project 2 years earlier. Kevin also programmed her with information on the Zohar and such, one of the reasons why Kevin was believed to have been Dr. Mizrahi's assitant.

Two years before, during the first KOS-MOS boot-up sequence, the U-Tic organization was given a controller that could boot-up KOS-MOS (The archetype, or prototype for those who aren't too good with words) early. Due to KOS-MOS being woken up prematurely,  she wasn't finished and went on a killing spree. She not only killed many Vector employees and members of the U-Tic organization, but she also killed Kevin, Shion's boyfriend. Shion returned the favor by placing a cap from a handgun straight into the archetype's head.

There have been many things that have happened that are strange concerning KOS-MOS

• KOS-MOS' name means cosmos, which means order.

• During the time in which Shion and co. were inside KOS-MOS' mainframe, the Encephalon, they had found KOS-MOS body chained to a cross-shaped rock.

• KOS-MOS actually has a soul of sorts. It shows when her eyes turn from red to blue. Red eyes = Soul/heartless. Blue eyes = Having a soul and heart, actually pretty poetic during her sequences with blue eyes.

• She grew angel wings in order to save the Elsa by using the large wings to stop the Elsa from burning up in the atmosphere of Second Miltia, when they were escaping from the colony of "Proto Merkabah."
