Em was born in Kansas City on October
17, 1972. His birth name is Marshall Mathers, but his nickname through out
his life was M and M, due to his initials. His Mom was a drug addict and
his Dad left him because he couldn't handle Eminem's mothers issues. |

His Mom, Debbie Nelson, had
him when she was 17. His father left her and left Em alone with a drug
addict for a mother. She moved from job to job for minimum wage and they
moved back and forth from trailer park to trailer park and received
welfare. |

When he was 2, he moved in
with his Aunt, to the state of Missouri. 5 years later, he went back to
live wit his mother. Through out all his life, he attended 15-20 schools,
and was never accepted at any of them. |

Over a period of time , he
moved in with his Uncle Ronnie. He felt, for the first time in his life,
like he was loved and cared for. The feeling didn't last long. In 1991,
his Uncle committed suicide. |

In 1995, he had his daughter,
Hailie Jade. HE got married to his long term girlfriend, Kim. Shortly
after Dr. Dre discovered his demo tape and signed him to Interscope. Kim
didn't like it , and caused a lot of trouble for him and Hailie. 2 years
later, they got a divorce. He got custody of Hailie, through a trial that
seemed to drag on forever. After fame, he made a movie about his life and
named it 8 Mile, because that was the street that was the separation to
blacks and whites. |
