The American Foxhound is a sweet affectionate dog. Even though they are warriors when it comes to hunting. These dogs are good with children and other dogs. American have short coats and come in about any color. They are 21-25 inches tall and weigh 65-70 pounds. These dogs are very intelligent but they shed frequently.

  The Bloodhound has a very sensitive nose that can track criminals, lost children, and runaways. Even though the track is days old. Bloodhounds are extremely affectionate, devoted, and shy. They love people especially children and their also good with other dogs. Bloodhounds are 23-27 inches tall and weigh 90-110 pounds. They can be black, tan, or red with a mixture of lighter and darker shades here and there. Bloodhounds also have very loose skin that comes down in deep folds from their head and neck. These dogs are intelligent and easy to train and they have a good-natured disposition.

The Dachshund also known as a wiener dog is a small but yet lovable hound. A standard size one is about 9-10 inches tall and weighs 16-32 pounds. A miniature Dachshund is about 5-9 inches tall and weighs 9-11 pounds. Dachshund's can come in different types they can be smooth long haired or even wire haired. All of them look really different from each other. Dachshunds are great with children and are ideal watchdogs. Even though they act more like terriers than hounds, Dachshund's have been hunting since the 16^th century. They live 10-12 years.

You have probably never heard of this dog, it is called a Goldendoodle. The Goldendoodle is a hybrid cross between a golden retriever and a poodle. The life expectancy for this dog is 15 or more years which means that they would live longer, healthier lives than either breed line. Goldendoodles are intelligent, obedient dogs that love people. They also love to retrieve things. Goldendloodles are medium sized dogs standing at 20-24 inches and weighing 50-70 pounds. They look like a shaggy retriever in either cream, gold, apricot, black, or chocolate and they can have tight curls, medium curls, silky, or a mixture of a couple.

The beagle is a short coated hound dog. Their coat can be red, orange, or lemon and all of them are with white. Beagles coats shed often. They can be 13-16 inches tall and weigh 20-25 pounds. Beagles are very good with children and are also good with other dogs, although they definitely do not like to be left alone. Beagles are best in an environment with a yard of any size, but they are okay to be living in an apartment. Beagles keep people company and make good pets.
