The Burmese originated by breeding a walnut-brown female Burma from Burma through selective breeding to Siamese.

  Physical description

Burmese carry surprising weight for their size often been described wrapped in silk. Their coats are very short and it feels like satin. There is long range of  Burmese that have rounder heads that are seen in shows, and they have large expressive eyes that are great pools of innocence.

Grooming

Regular petting or occasional gentle brushing is often required to keep their very short coats well groomed. Burmese love to be petted and brushed by their owners. Petting and brushing relaxes the Burmese.

Preferred family life

Craving attention, the breed prefers an interactive household, lots of playtime and plenty of affection from their owners. Their perfect family has a multitude of laps for them to enjoy. The Burmese loves to spend time with their owners.

  Personality Traits

While it is the Burmese's appearance that first may attract notice, it's the breed's personality that inspires lifelong devotion. They are considered incredibly loving, intelligent, people oriented and inquisitive. A champion cuddlier who prefers to sleep under the covers with you, sit in your lap rather than beside you and drape around your neck or sit on your shoulder. Burmeses love to be with their owners at all times. They are very active and can be very independent, especially as they get older, but they do not like attention. They are very friendly when they choose to be and are vocal, though not nearly so noisy as the Siamese.
