Game Boy Advance
![]() |
The Game Boy Advance (GBA) is the second best handheld system out. There are two styles of GBAs. The original one, in the upper picture, and the smaller, leaner, Game Boy Advance SP, in the lower picture. The SP is more expensive, but the better choice. It has a backlit screen so you can play in the dark, and a rechargeable battery, and folds up to fit in your pocket. The GBA systems are some of Nintendo's best. |

Game Boy Color

The Game Boy Color was a huge step in handheld gaming. The previous Game Boys only had a tan like color, so actually having colors was a nice improvement. This system ran on two AA batteries that would run from about 3 days to about a week. This wasn't as big as the GBA in my opinion, but it was a great step forward. |

Gamecube

Boy, where to begin? This is Nintendo's best work to date. The Gamecube has the best graphics in the gaming world and probably has the biggest selection in games. From moving into your own town in Animal Crossing to the raw RPG action in Tales of Symphonia to the strategy of Pokemon Coloseum, the Gamecube is definitely the way to go. |
Nintendo 64

The Nintendo 64 was Nintendo's first giant leap into the gaming industry. If anyone has ever played Super Mario 64 for the first time, you'd know what I mean. The Nintendo 64 was the first time that anyone has ever succeed in making a game in 3-D. The Nintendo 64 is pretty much "dead" today, but it's impact won't be forgotten. |
NES

|
The NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) had some of the best games ever. Nintendo thought this too, so they revived some of these into GBA games. Some of these gems are Metroid, Dr. Mario, The Ledged of Zelda, and Ice Climbers. If you're lucky enough to own a NES, don't sell or break it. |

Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS was released November 28 of 2004 and is Nintendo's biggest risk that they ever made. The touch screen made a big impact on the sale charts. It is a handheld system, like the GBA, and will have the graphics of the N64, which is pretty impressive. The DS will also have a built in microphone, dual screens, and it comes with two styluses. The DS is the start of a gaming revolution. |
