ZOEgirl is a Christian band that is an alternative to Brittany Spears and other similar secular acts. They formed in 1999. ZOEgirl's singers are Chrissy Conway, Alisa Girard, and Kristen Swinford. Alisa Girard is the daughter of Chuck Girard, a love song singer and keyboardist. They named themselves ZOEgirl because Zoë means life in Greek, and Jesus gave them new life. Their first CD was released by Sparrow in 2000. It was titled ZOEgirl. Two hits from their first album are a praise song set to a sleek R&B groove called Anything is Possible and I Believe. I Believe is a danceable declaration of Faith. After the ZOEgirl release, they went on tour with Nichol Nordeman, Clay Crosse, and Carman. ZOEgirl quickly became the fastest selling debut in Sparrow's 25 year history. Their next CD was Life and it came out in 2001. Life featured songs about problems teens face. Their most recent CD was titled a "Different Kind of Free.  ZOEgirl is a great Christian Band and if you have never listened to them, you should!
