Courtney Kupets is a determined gymnast. She competed and finished first place as an International Elite Gymnast in 1999. In 2000, she broke her heel while performing a Double Arabian on the balance beam. After getting surgery on her heel, in 2001, she ranked first on beam, first on bars, third of floor, and fourth on vault. She now trains 35 hours a week as Hill's Angels Gym. After leaving for Athens, she won first at the bars all-around competition with an astounding 9.850. This 18 year old gymnast helped the U.S. team win the silver medal at the team finals. She is definitely a top competitor. |
