Wrestling has been popular throughout recorded

Armature wrestling flourished throughout early years of the U.S. and served as a popular activity at county fairs, holiday celebrations, and in military exercises. The first organized national wrestling tournament was held in New York city, New York in 1888, while the first in the Olympics was in 1904 in St. Louis, Missouri. The first NCAA wrestling championships was held in 1912 in Ames, Iowa. USA wrestling became the national governing body of armature wrestling in 1983. now wrestling is still very popular and is a sport that fascinates the whole world. |
