German Shepherds are very gentle dogs that originated in Hanover in 1882.Short haired German Shepherds originated in Berlin in 1889. The German Shepherds make for good working dogs. They were often used in times of war carrying messages under fire and across different mine fields.

Dutch Sheepdogs are make very nice working dogs. They are very skilled at herding  which makes them of good use on a farm. They are cow herders and sheepherders. Dutch Sheepdogs were derived from the Belgian Sheepdogs. These dogs  have quick reflexes which makes them good for the job.

A Kuvasz is another gentle dog that has said to be known since the age of the Huns. They also accompanied the Turkish refugees  and their flocks fleeing Mongols into Hungary and making them known in 1200.

St. Bernard's descended from the Tibetan Mastiff and therefore it originated with the Mastiffs brought to the Alps by the Romans over two thousand years ago. It is said that the Saint Bernard was a cross between the Great Dane and the Great Pyrenees.

Labrador Retrievers are native dogs to Newfoundland and were brought to Great Britain in the 1800's by English ships coming from Labrador. These dogs make very good pets. They are kind and gentle animals . As you can see they love retrieving toys and animals. 

Dalmatians are found on Egyptian base-relief's and Hellenic Friezes. In the 1700's another dog called the Bengal Pointer, similar to the Dalmatians that  were in England. They questioned the Dalmatians Yugoslavian origin..

The first pictures of these dogs came from the Chinese base-relief's. They were very popular dogs in Europe. This dog was given to the Prince of Wales, Edward the VII.
